| 4 nos | Green Chillies | ||||||||
| 1 tbsp | Coriander Seeds | ||||||||
| 6 flakes | Garlic | ||||||||
| 1 inch | Ginger | ||||||||
| 1 tsp | Chilli Powder | ||||||||
| 1/2 tsp | turmeric | ||||||||
| 12 nos | shallots (small onions) | ||||||||
| A few Curry Leaves | |||||||||
| Prep | |||||||||
| Grind coarsley without water, powdered coriander and red chillies, coconut first and then add set aside | |||||||||
| Soak the Tamrind and 1 cup water set aside | |||||||||
| Method | |||||||||
| Step 1 | Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil - put 1/2 tsp methi and 1 tsp mustard and a 3-4 curry leaves. | ||||||||
| Step 2 | When the mustard pops, add the ground masala and fry well for 5-6 minutes till well browned | ||||||||
| Step 3 | In another pan, add the fish along with the tamrind soaked in water, add salt to taste and, | ||||||||
| boil for 5 minutes. | |||||||||
| Step 4 | Add the roasted masala and bring to a boil and cook on a high flame | ||||||||
| Step 5 | Reduce fire and cover and cook for 5-7 minutes till it dries out. | ||||||||
